FREEMONT

Resting on a base with five cylindrical legs, Freemont seems to rise forcefully from the bottom to the top. With its jointed shapes it branches out in space, becoming the visual fulcrum of the room, like a new, modern tree of life. Freemont reminds us of Asia, suggesting a reinterpretation of the architecture of Japanese temples, which Sottsass had seen on one of his many journeys. Sideboard in lacquered wood, glazed with gold leaf and covered in decorative laminate and natural wood veneer with elements.
